The Government of Manitoba Disabilities Issues Office (DIO) wishes to share an important opportunity to contribute to a national discussion on accessibility legislation. The Government of Canada is inviting Manitoba youth with expertise in a broad range of disabilities to participate in a national conversation about accessibility. These discussions will be part of a day-long National Youth Forum planned in Ottawa in November 2016. Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Canada’s first Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, will host the forum.
To learn more about how all Manitobans can participate in the national consultation on-line and in person, and how youth can apply to the National Youth Forum, please visit Government of Canada – disability consultations and click on National Youth Forum. The deadline for submissions to the Government of Canada is September 15, 2016.
