Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices (ALD’s) and other technologies can help hard of hearing people hear better both at home (television and radio; family and friends) and in public venues such as theatres, meeting rooms and places of worship. There are many different systems and services available. Depending on the type of hearing loss and hearing aids used, some equipment may be more or less suitable than others. As well, the availability of email and developments in cell phone technology provide additional options for hard of hearing people.
