Candace Maxymowich became involved in the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Manitoba Chapter when she attended the Adjusting to Hearing Loss Facilitator Training Workshop and subsequently joined the board in 2019, taking on the role of Newsletter Chair. She became Vice-President in 2020.
At the age of 12, Candace had her hearing tested and she was fitted for her first set of hearing aids shortly after. Her hearing loss has progressed over the years. She presently has tinnitus and severe to profound mixed hearing loss in both ears.
Candace is the Executive Director of Beloved Ministries and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Tyndale University. Candace has served in a number of positions on boards and advisory councils. She hopes to use her experience to support the CHHA board in communications, advocacy, and fundraising.
