May is Speech and Hearing Month

The Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association is petitioning the Manitoba Government to:

  • to consider hearing loss as a medical treatment under Manitoba Health
  •  to provide income based coverage for hearing aids for all who need them as hearing loss has proven to be essential to Manitobans’ cognitive, mental, and social health and well-being.

We are asking you to support this initiative by helping us to gather signatures.

A copy of the petition is included below. It includes the background information and space for 15 signatures. We need physical signatures and addresses so the petition needs to be downloaded and printed on legal sized paper if possible. Normal paper size is less easy to read, but is still acceptable. If you are not able print copies, but wish to help us, please contact us and we will mail you the requested number of petitions. Please note each petition has space for 15 signatures only – do not write on the back.
